Episode 2 of Xena, and we're… well, not really getting into the meat of the series yet, mainly because this was a script originally written for Hercules, and Gabs doesn't really have much to do. But we have fun with it anyway!

Gabrielle hangs out in a bar and has bad taste in men, while Xena gets shot in the gut with an arrow, gets ignored by dumb villagers because she’s both a warrior and a woman, and has to play surrogate mom to Very Caring Dad and his kids. Bad shoes, frantic leaps, and flying watermelons ensue. Eventually she escapes from this hellscape of peaceful family life and takes Gabrielle with her.

One fun bit we didn't mention in the show:

The writers originally intended to have Sphaerus [silver-eyed hot warrior son —Bob] be a recurring love-interest for Gabrielle, but decided to go along with different characters throughout the first season. He was originally thought to be brought back in "Return of Callisto" and end up married to Gabrielle, but killed by Callisto. They ended up going with Perdicas instead.

Creation Entertainment presents a Salute to Xena in Los Angeles, CA

Originally slated to be this year, the latest Xena con has moved to April 16–18, 2021. Are your hosts Spicy Caitlin and Bob going to be there? You bet your sweet ass we are. Look forward to more blog articles about our cosplay creation and excitement about the event in the following months!
