Sins of the Past

Our first episode of the Xena series proper! Xena meets Gabrielle for the first time, goes to visit her home village where everyone hates her — including her mom — and performs a tricky balancing act to get Draco out of her town.

Bonus Episodes: The "Xena Trilogy" on Hercules

In case you didn't see, not only did our first episode covering the Xena series come out today, but we also covered the three “prequel” episodes where Xena appeared on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, before she got her own show. All three episodes are available in the podcast feed now. Enjoy!

Kaval Sviri (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) by Balkan Ethno Orchestra

You may know that Xena's battle theme is based on a Bulgarian folk tune called “Kaval Sviri.” New band Balkan Ethno Orchestra puts their own spin on the tune here, and it's a banger. Their website has even more songs, and it looks like they're set to tour Australia later this year — pandemic willing, one assumes.

Whoosh! Episode Guide: Xena: SINS OF THE PAST

Whoosh! is the grandmother of all Xena fan sites. It hasn't been seriously updated since 2006, but it's still online, and it still has an astounding amount of material, much of it originally published contemporaneous with the show. The site uses frames, so I'm linking to a sub-page for the episode above, but please do visit the Whoosh! home page and explore the extensive menu on the left side.

The Legendary Wikia: Sins of the Past

“Hercules & Xena: The Legendary Wikia” is a great resource with some nice tidbits about each episode, Including all of the Herc stuff. But Xena's info is, of course, the most important.

Deleted Scenes from Xena Fan Film “Forwards & Backwards”

Fan films! I want to see these Czech amateur films so bad, but all I can find on YouTube are deleted scenes and a few songs. The official website is still there, but the links to the full films are broken, and I've had no luck contacting the creators. Anyone have a line on these?
